Your choices

Privacy, plainly.

You can read Nell without creating an account or enabling analytics.

Your account

If you register, Nell stores your username, password hash, profile, saved posts, reactions and comments to provide those features. Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms. The owner can see registered accounts and moderate comments.

Optional reading analytics

With your permission, Nell uses PostHog in the EU to understand which pages people read, which languages they choose, whether they open another post, share a link or complete registration.

These events use a random browser identifier. We do not send your username, password, comment text, search terms or IP address to PostHog. We do not record your screen or keystrokes. Choosing not to participate does not affect your account or reading.

Analytics is off. You can change this here at any time.

Your choice is remembered for up to six months. Turning analytics off removes the browser identifier and stops future events. Previously received events remain subject to PostHog's retention settings. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences also disable collection.
